“DEAD FLOWERS” (cover) – audio
The first entry into the caboose is a prized 2006-ish recording from the summer I met my wife Kim, done by our old friend Chris Neale. It’s of Kim and me and several other liquidated and chemically assisted friends, all making dreams come true in a crowded Austin apartment with The Rolling Stones’ “Dead Flowers”. Chris recorded it beautifully and preserved a moment in time that still feels like it happened yesterday.
You can hear Kim introduce and close the clip. I give her a 10 out of 10.
Whether he was in the room or not, this is shared in tribute to a friend we all loved, Travis Sampley.
